Coach Kevin Cooper Signs 2 year contract with the San Diego Seals of the NLL
Oops…He Did It Again!!!
Kevin Cooper named MLL “Offensive Player of the Week” for 2nd time this season.
Following a three-game stretch where he was held scoreless and took just one shot, Kevin Cooper busted loose with four goals and one assist against the Chesapeake Bayhawks on a rain-soaked field in Annapolis on Saturday. Cooper’s heroics earned him Warrior Offensive Player of the Week for Week 13, helped move the 7-6 Hounds closer to a playoff berth and also snapped red-hot Chesapeake’s win streak at seven games.
Cooper got the night started off on the right foot by opening the scoring 2:34 into the game. He also put his team up by three goals just 3:29 later and by the score of 6-1 with 10:32 left in the first half. Early in the fourth quarter, Cooper set up Mike Chanenchuk for his second goal of the game and put the Hounds up 19-6 with his fourth goal of the evening.
Cooper has 18 goals and nine assists for the season.
